Guidelines for Campers

To insure that your stay at Exeter Elms is an enjoyable and pleasant experience, we ask your cooperation in observing the following basic rules:

  • Please observe the campground's 5 MPH speed limit. Children at play.
  • Camp only in the area assigned at registration.
  • Quiet Time: 10:00PM to 8:00AM (weeknights) and 11:00PM to 8:00AM (weekends).

  • Check-out time is 12:00 Noon. Please leave your name and site number at the office as you are leaving.

  • Absolutely no electric heaters or air conditioners on 15 amp sites!
  • Please do not cut trees, branches, drive nails into or disfigure trees. A $50.00 fine per tree will be charged.

  • Please do not move or dismantle fireplaces. Build small fires in fireplaces only and never leave unattended. Do not burn cans, bottles or garbage.

  • No ATV's allowed to operate on campground property.
  • Small children are not allowed in restrooms unattended.
  • Do not wash clothes or dishes in restrooms.
  • Washing cars, trailers or boats on campground property is prohibited.
  • Put garbage in dumpsters located by the office at the main entrance of the campground.

  • State Law does not permit the draining of grey water onto the ground. Please dispose of all grey water at the dump station. Also, State Law requires the use of "donuts" at all sewer connections.

  • Air guns, BB guns, firearms, bows & arrows and fireworks are strictly prohibited.
  • Pets: Allowed on leash only. Do not leave unattended. All droppings must be cleaned up. Pets not allowed at canoe docking area or in campground buildings. Please keep pets quiet.

  • Curfew: Children under the age of 18 must be on site by 10:00PM on weekdays and 11:00PM on weekends.
  • Disregard for the comfort of others, the abuse of property or creating a disturbance may result in your removal from the campground without a refund.

  • Boisterous partying is not in tune with our concept of good camping practices.

  • Please report infractions or malfunctions to management so that we may insure a pleasant stay for everyone.

  • Visitors must leave the park by 10:00PM on weekdays and 11:00PM on weekends. Inquire at office regarding visitor fees and policies. All visitors must be registered upon arrival.

  • Parents: Please be advised that children (and adults too) with bikes are to observe traffic directions as posted (go with traffic on one-way roads) and to avoid excessive speed. There is to be no bike or moped riding after dark!

  • Management assumes no responsibility for accidents, injuries or losses from any cause.

  • No refunds.

  • Caution: Waterfront sites have steep banks, dropping off into deep water. If you have small children, PLEASE do not allow them near the river without supervision.

  • Swimming Pool: Swimming is not permitted after dark. Swim at pool only. No lifeguard on duty! Watch toddlers and poor swimmers in or near ALL water. Children 12 or under must be accompanied by an adult. Please, no food or drink in pool area. Pool opens at 8:30AM and closes at dusk.

  • Canoes: We have canoes for your enjoyment. Please treat them as your own. Canoe rentals at store.
